In the past 24 hours, the weather was seasonably hot and dry east of the Cascades. Widespread lightning east of the Cascades in Southcentral and Eastern Oregon and isolated showers in Central Oregon. Moderate initial attack throughout the region, heavy in Central and Eastern Oregon. No new large fires reported. Moderate growth and slight increases in containment on existing large fires.
