Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A marine air mass starts moving into the region today which will bring a bit of cooling, but also breezy to windy conditions in mountain gaps and across the basins in Central Washington and Central Oregon this afternoon through Wednesday evening.  The National Weather Service has issued some Red Flag Warnings for combination of wind and low relative humidity for this period.  Check your local NWS for details and timing for your area.  Warm and dry conditions will persist through the work week for most of the region.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Gusty winds in the Columbia Gorge and the basins east of the Cascades will boost the behavior of new and existing fires this afternoon and tomorrow.  Continued warm and dry conditions through the forecast period will elevate fire danger indices which are already high enough across the region that fire starts from light or moderate amounts of lightning or human sources could challenge initial attack resources.
