The weather has brought a light drizzle for the past two days. The area around the fire received another 1/10th of an inch of rain. Crews continue to work to contain the Stouts Creek Fire conducting repair work and expanding mop-up operations. Winds will be out of the West at 5- 10 mph today. Crews have been and will continue to be replaced, as necessary. Fire size remains at 26,452 acres and is 90% contained.

“We are working with operations and local agencies to begin scaling down the resources”, said Carl Taylor, Logistics Chief with the Florida Forest Service Type 3 Team. “We will continue to support fire operations until the mission is complete.”

The Level 1 evacuation notice has been lifted for the Stouts Creek fire. The State of Oregon Department of Forestry released a new statement for “Regulated Closure Proclamation” Number 10. There are 343 personnel assigned to the fire with 5 crews, 11 engines, 5 water tenders, 1 bulldozer and 1 helicopter. To date, the Stout Creek Fire has cost $37.1 million.
The Incident Management Team is protecting lands that are about 46% on state protected lands, which include BLM and private lands and 54% on the Umpqua National Forest.
