Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential
:

High pressure will begin to weaken as a series of troughs move through to the north in British Columbia. This will give us 2 or 3 days of windy conditions across eastern WA as well as northern portions of central and eastern Oregon. These winds could provide elevated spread potential on existing fires in NW05, NW06 and NW10. A deeper trough and associated cold front is expected to move into the region over the weekend with cooler conditions, more cloudiness and likely some light rain in Western Washington and a few showers in Eastern Washington. This system will likely give some lightning as well across much of the region. Storms should be mostly wet in the north and a mixture of wet and dry in the south.
