7/24/2014 11:30 am Kitten Complex Update
US Hwy 26 was temporarily closed last night due to increased activity on the Brogan Fire, but it is currently open. At noon today, the Brogran Fire was estimated at 15,000 to 23,00 acres in size. The size of the Stemler and North Juniper Fires is currently unknown as more intelligence is being gathered this afternoon. The Kitten Canyon Fire was estimated at 2400 acres on Thursday evening. The Ironside Rangeland Protective Association is currently working on the Brogan Fire, and the Juntura Rangeland Protective Association is working on the Stemler Fire. BLM firefighting resources are also engaged in the fire complex.
