Fire Information - A transfer of command will occur on Wednesday at 6 a.m. when the Northern Rockies National Incident Management Team (Greg Poncin) leaves and Oregon Interagency Incident Management Team 4 (Brian J. Watts) resumes management of the entire fire perimeter in both zones.
Night shift operations have been discontinued on the east zone and the spike camp set at Stray Dog Reservoir has closed.
The firefighters temporarily camped at Crowley returned to the Incident Command Post at Juntura Monday evening.
East zone crews continued to mop-up the 50-100 acre spot fire that occurred after strong winds pushed embers across containment lines yesterday afternoon. On the remainder of the fire crews continued to mop-up and patrol the fire perimeter.
Fire Weather - It rained over a majority of the fire on Monday, especially in the southeast corner. Some areas received up to 2" of precipitation.
Scattered thunderstorms will bring potential for small areas of intense rain and gusty outflow wind.
