In the last 24 hours:
Warm, dry with windy conditions east of the Cascades. No lightning received. 1 new large fire, the Cold Springs fire in NE Washington 90% contained.  Continued growth on Buckskin fire (SW Oregon), Type 2 team in command. No growth reported on other existing large fire. Flurry of recent initial attack has diminished to low levels. Minimal prescribed fire activity reported.

Thunder Creek WA-NCP-0000000002. ICT3. 40 mi W of Winthrop, WA. St 5/30. Full Suppression. Timber. Cause lightning. Remote and inaccessible terrain. Minimal fire behavior. Light precipitation forecasted. 103 acres. 60% containment.

Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:

Sunny skies inland today with westerly winds decreasing in the Columbia Basin and along the east slopes of the Cascades. Warming and drying ramps up on today and Monday which will push fire danger indices higher. Potential for more lightning next week mainly east of the Cascades, but lightning amounts do not appear to be heavy.
