Northwest Fire Weather Summary
A cool, showery pattern will persist over the Pacific Northwest through much of the work week. Afternoon/evening thunderstorms are possible over the next few days, mostly limited to higher elevations on the east side. Potential for moderate to heavy rainfall with some of the storms has raised some concern for flash flooding in Northeastern Washington and Northeastern Oregon later today into Wednesday. Winds will be breezy at times and could get strong in the vicinity of storms. Drier weather could arrive for the weekend, but models remain uncertain. Check your local NWS forecasts for details in your area.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
The potential for development of significant fires will remain low through the week. The effect of cumulative precipitation for the last few days will limit active surface spread potential and keep fire behavior dampened down.
