Northwest Activity Summary
Eastern Washington and Oregon mountains and high desert continued to receive light levels of moisture yesterday. On the west side of the Cascades intermittent coverage continued. Cooler and cloudy conditions for the whole Pacific Northwest with breezy areas in Central Washington and the Gorge characterized the day. Initial attack activity was light.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
Showers will decrease through the day today leaving a few residual showers over the Northern Cascades and northeastern Washington overnight into tomorrow morning. Breezy westerly winds are expected east of the Cascades again this afternoon/evening. The Pacific Northwest will be mostly dry Saturday into Sunday. A disturbance will brush by late in the holiday weekend, bringing a chance for showers mainly for higher elevations in northern Washington. Building upper level high pressure will warm and dry the region through next week. Check NWS forecasts for details in your locality.
Northwest Fire Potential Summary
While significant fire potential should stay at or below seasonal normal through the forecast period, the warming and drying trend will allow increasing fire behavior as we move through the week.
