Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Warming and drying will continue for much of the region as high pressure recovers. Today a weak weather system will spread clouds and light rain into northwest Oregon and western Washington bringing the only brief exception to the overall warming trend. Winds are expected to be light for the next several days.
A more consistent warming and drying pattern will begin on Tuesday which looks as if it will last through the work week. Fire danger will begin to slowly climb on Tuesday and easterly winds with lower humidity will become more prevalent over western Oregon and Washington by midweek. New large fires are not likely under this pattern but some ongoing incidents will likely have pockets of heat that develop.
