Update: Chipping was completed around Sweet Grass, Ortell Creek, Deer Creek and Goat Creek yesterday. Excavator line was completed near Eightmile Ridge. Suppression repair work on the 300 Road continued throughout the operational period. The fire was monitored by ground and air resources.
Fire activity in the Pat Creek area was slower yesterday than previous days. As was expected, heavy timber fuels continued to smolder and creep yesterday in the Monument Creek area. The fire activity seen around Monument Creek was due to yesterday’s rise in temperature.
