Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Recovery of high pressure to the region will bring on a slow drying trend for the majority of the geographic area through the weekend. A weak weather system may spread some clouds and light rain into western Washington and northwest Oregon on Monday but elsewhere expect more drying and light winds.
High pressure strengthens next week leading to more warming and the potential for easterly winds and low humidity over the Cascades of both Oregon and Washington. Fire danger will rise during this period, however, it is not expected to become critical. The potential for new large fires in the geographic area remains minimal despite an expected warming and drying pattern.
