Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:
A very dry offshore flow will continue to increase and expand northward west of the Cascades over the next few days as a thermal trough builds northward along the coast. This will help dry fuels west of the Cascades significantly with ERC values reaching 95th percentile levels in SW Oregon. The weekend is showing signs of a critical burning environment as the thermal trough moves inland west of the Cascades adding instability to the situation.
