Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

Lightning will continue throughout much of the region today and Friday. Lightning should be pretty much over by Saturday. In addition Friday will be a windy day over much of the exposed areas east of the Cascades. Winds will likely be strongest across eastern Washington and will provide extra growth potential on new and existing fires.
