We wish to sincerely thank those who fought the Blue Creek Fire, and those who supported them. Thank you for protecting our community!
Due to those great firefighting efforts and current conditions, all evacuation level notices AND all road closures for the Blue Creek Fire area have been lifted.
There are still firefighting efforts taking place in this area, so it is respectfully requested that unless you have a home, land, or business in this area, please do not visit so the firefighters may safely work. We request that only local residents, land owners, and firefighters be on Blue Creek Road, Klicker Mountain Road, and Blacksnake Ridge Road from Five Points to Klicker Mountain Road. Of course these requests cannot be officially enforced, however we simply want to ensure the continued safety of the firefighters and their equipment, so thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
Since roads are now open, property owners in the area are encouraged to contact firefighters in the area and inquire about what is now best for their gates on private property. We sure appreciate the gates that were opened to facilitate firefighting efforts, but believe that since roads are now open, property owners should consult with firefighters as to whether they can and should shut their gates again.
Thanks everyone for a job well done. It’s been a pleasure and honor to be part of this great team.
At your service,
