Active fire behavior with uphill spread, wind-driven runs and crowning. The fire has burned into the Monument Mountain Wilderness. Road, trail and area closures in effect. Continue direct and indirect line construction, secure containment lines and burn out as conditions allow.

Porcupine Butte OR-PRD-000491. ICT3. Unified Command (BLM/Wheeler County Fire). 10 miles E of Clarno, OR. Start 8/14. Full Suppression. Cause: Unknown. 280 acres (+0). 100% containment expected 8/17. Grass and Brush. Minimal fire behavior with backing, single tree torching and creeping. Does not meet 209 large fire criteria. Not tallied in Large Fire Summary above. Last report unless significant activity occurs.
