Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

The focus is on an elevated burn environment this week. A thermal trough is located in western Oregon today and will result in hot, dry and unstable weather to the Cascades and west side PSAs. The thermal trough is expected to move east of the Cascades Wednesday evening creating windy conditions across eastern Washington and breezy conditions over much of eastern Oregon. Thursday will be the windiest day. Right now it does not look like any serious threat for lightning exists until early next week.
