Come to Selkirk High School and see what it takes to put together a
small city that supports 400 people as they eat, sleep and work hard to
suppress the Baldy Fire.
Sunday and Monday, August 9th and 10th, fire personnel will be offering tours of the Fire Camp (or Incident Command Post as it's now called.) Tours will begin Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. and then on Monday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Visitors are being asked to enter the school grounds through the north entrance and park on the lower lot next to the track and football field. A tour guide will meet them there.
Tour participants should be prepared to walk on uneven ground and climb a few steps. Questions can be addressed to 509-446-1292 or baldyfireinfo@gmail.com.
