Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

Cooler conditions are moving inland across the geographic area as the weather pattern shifts this weekend. Wet thunderstorms will continue across much of the region east of the Cascades on Saturday and Sunday then diminishing on Monday. Much of the west side will be mostly cloudy with drizzle or light rain at times.  Expect a downturn in new ignitions and large fire potential as the fire danger decreases with the cooling trend.
