Northwest Fire Potential Summary:

Moderate levels of IA are likely again today from lightning. Main activity is expected to be in Eastern Oregon, Southwest Oregon and portions of Northern Washington. Burning conditions will remain elevated today as well, resulting in a continuation of elevated large fire potential in many areas of the region.

Though daily IA from lightning is expected to continue on through the weekend, the potential for large fires will decrease significantly after Thursday due to a switch to a cooler and moister onshore westerly flow and a general moderating of the burn environment.
