Rebel Fire: 8,437 acres
Horse Creek Complex: Olallie Lookout Fire, 1,500 acres; Roney Fire, 3,349 acres; Avenue Fire, 2,570 acres; Separation Fire, 17,636 acres; Nash Fire, 6,680 acres.

Current Situation:
Avenue Fire: The Avenue Fire continues to actively move west on the ridge top south of Horse Creek and towards King Creek. A smoke column appeared in the southeastern portion of the fire late yesterday afternoon. The Oregon Department of Forestry has provided resources to assist with work on the private lands in the Foley Springs area. Continued air support was provided to wildland fire crews on the ground as they implemented tactics to hold the fire south of the 300 Road. Large, downed trees and pockets of unburned vegetation within the perimeter of the fire continue to burn and will put up a good amount of smoke.
Separation Fire: The spot fire that developed on the north between Melakwa and Benson lakes has grown to about 200 acres. Firefighters continue to apply point-protection tactics and to burn out areas around the Melakwa Boy Scout Camp to prevent the fire from approaching the camp. Crews will be improving the 2649 road towards the Fingerboard Prairie trailhead to be able to use this road to keep the fire in check above Highway 242 and protect other values in the area.
Nash Fire: Aerial and hike-in field observations have noted little movement of the southeast side of the fire toward the Cascade Lakes Highway. Firefighters will continue to watch the fire’s movement and evaluate as it progresses toward the Nash Lake hiking trail system. A pilot car will begin operating today along the Cascade Lakes Highway, guiding traffic safely past crews and heavy equipment in the area. A fuel break is being constructed to protect the Elk and Lava Lakes areas, infrastructure at the Bachelor Ski area and the Bend watershed, in the event the fire moves over the Cascade Crest. This work is taking place between Quinn Meadows Horse Camp and the South Beach access turnoff from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The public should expect sporadic travel delays, limited visibility due to smoke, and increased heavy equipment traffic.
Rebel Fire: Fire activity along the southeast edge was moderate yesterday and crews continue to improve their control lines. The fire has moved over Rebel Rock.
Roney and Olallie Fires: Reconnaissance aircraft reported minimal activity on the Roney Fire and Olallie Lookout Fire. The Olallie Lookout is still standing, having survived fire activity in the area around it. These fires continue to show minimal growth and firefighters will continue to monitor them.
Evacuations: Evacuation levels have been lowered in the Elk and Lava Lake areas. Elk Lake is at a Level 1 (Ready) and Lava Lake no longer under an evacuation notice.
