Northwest Fire Potential Summary:
A building ridge will lead to warming and drying through the week with very warm to hot days on Friday and Saturday. A thermal trough will emerge over western Oregon and shift into central Oregon and Washington on the weekend. This could increase fire behavior on existing fires east of the Cascades. Some isolated lightning is possible in southern Oregon on the weekend, but it is not expected to be problematic. IA is expected to remain light and new large fire potential is low.
