Low humidity’s and high temperatures continue to enter the region. Light winds coming from the northwest will create slightly more active fire.
Smoke is visible along the northwest side of the fire on the Rouge Siskiyou National forest, and on the south side of the fire in the backcountry of Crater Lake National Park. Firefighters are utilizing helicopter and ground support to mitigate the fire.
Firefighters are continuing to work on securing the fire perimeter east of Bald Crater Loop trail.
With increased fire activity and smoke drive cautiously with headlights on while driving along highway 230 and the north entrance road to Crater Lake National Park.
