Northwest Activity Summary

Precipitation coverage mid-week was light to moderate throughout the region. Southwestern and Central Oregon continued to acquire moderate to significant gains in precipitation. Lower elevations in the Columbia River Basin and Harney Basin received wetting rains and snow. Temperatures dipped into single digits during the week at higher elevations. Fire activity was minimal and isolated to pile burning.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary

Showers will diminish across the region as we head into the weekend, with most of the area dry and slightly warmer by Sunday and Monday. Another cold front will cross the Pacific Northwest starting late Monday and bringing widespread precipitation Tuesday and Wednesday before another dry spell toward the end of the workweek.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary

Fire danger indices remain too low to support wildfires or burn escapes. Nonetheless, it is always advisable to check local NWS planning forecasts or request spot forecasts to verify daily prescription parameters prior to burn activities.
