Northwest Activity Summary
Over the week, light and scattered precipitation fell over most of the Region with the exception of Northwestern Washington receiving wetting rains later in the week. Above average temperatures occurred for most of the week east of the Cascades. Easterly dry winds came in the middle of the week ahead of inland cold fronts that pushed into the Northeastern part of the region. Prescribed burning continued as conditions allowed with heavy fuels. Initial attack activity was light.

Northwest Fire Weather Summary
The first week of February is expected to be cool and/or wet for the northwest geographic area. Temperatures are expected to be below average for early February with some accumulation of snow at lower elevations.
