Fire Managers do not anticipate seeing any new growth. Crews are being pulled off the fire today and camp is being broken down, with the intent of all resources being released off the fire by the end of the day tomorrow. At that time, fire activity in the area will be monitored, but no suppression actions are planned.
Cooler weather and reduced fire behavior has been conducive for crews to make good progress on managing the fire. As a result, fire crews have been able to accelerate the pace of work on the fire because the Forest recognizes the importance of this area to our hunting enthusiasts.
