Northwest Weather Highlights / Fire Potential:
A ridge of high pressure continues over the Pacific NW with near to above normal temperatures and dry conditions persisting across much of the area. There is continued chance of thunderstorms in Eastern Washington and possibly part of Oregon, bringing scattered lighting and isolated showers. Hot and dry conditions will prevail into the next week with a possible cooling trend by mid-week as the ridge aloft starts to weaken.
