8/10/2014 National Weather Service Update - Medford
Dry thunderstorms are expected in most of our area today through tomorrow (Monday) morning, and for the next few days. Any lightning strikes will have the potential to start new wildfires. These storms are expected to begin this morning on the east side and spread west towards the coast this afternoon. A red flag warning for much of the area goes into effect at 11:00am this morning. Remember to follow wildfire prevention and safety tips. Call 911 to report wildfires. Follow all local laws when using equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws and off-road vehicles. Be a responsible camper and build safe campfires. It is a good idea to have a disaster supply kits.
